Island Resort & Casino: Courses Open, New Golf Packages, and Website Launches
New Golf packages available at the Upper Peninsula’s premier golf destination
Escanaba, MI – Spring and golf season have finally arrived in Michigan’s scenic Upper Peninsula, and Island Resort & Casino, located just outside of Escanaba. The award winning Sweetgrass Golf Course is now open, and the new Sage Run Golf Course will open on Friday May 31.

The new website includes new updated golf information including 2019 green fees, golf packages, resort information, course tours, photography, as well as updated social media pages to keep golfers updated.

The Sage Run course, designed by Paul Albanese who also created Sweetgrass, provides a different and fun golf experience. The land at Sage Run is 180 degrees in contrast from its sister course Sweetgrass with its prairie links style. The course meanders through beautiful Upper Peninsula hardwoods and open vistas including up and around a natural drumlin or ridge providing a scenic variety of shots creating a fun thrill ride for golfers.
