Sep 21, 2019 LATAM Brazil joins ANA and United in choosing to feature Star Wars themed liveries. ANA was the first airline to feature a livery promoting the popular Sci-Fi franchise. ANA introduced its Star Wars-themed livery in 2016, with three aircraft in total featuring Star Wars characters.

Construction projects at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla., including a new 'Star Wars'-themed hotel opening in 2021 and the renovation of Disney's Epcot, have been put on hold because of the coronavirus. Construction of a new ride at Disney's Magic Kingdom has also been halted.

The new 'Star Wars -- Galactic Starcruiser' hotel is set to open in 2021 at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla. Guests will be offered a two-night itinerary to the 'Star Wars'-themed hotel, which includes an excursion to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios. It also features activities in which guests can explore the ship and uncover hidden spaces, learn the ship's operating systems and train with a lightsaber.

Speculation has it that the 'Star Wars'-themed hotel at Walt Disney World, whose opening is months away, may charge $3,300 and up per person for a three-day, two-night stay with fine dining. Disney has been revealing some of the attraction's spectacular features, but not the rates.

Virtual reality attractions continue to make their way into malls and family entertainment centers thanks to their level of immersion and interactivity. Operator The VOID recently opened 'Star Wars'-themed free-roaming attractions in London, England, and at Walt Disney Co. areas in Florida and California, and it is slated to open new locations across the globe, while Dreamscape Immersive's pop-up attraction in Los Angeles was met with strong demand.

Next year, Disney will launch seven-night Star Wars Day at Sea sailings, which will offer several 'Star Wars'-themed activities on the Disney Fantasy. The cruises depart from Port Canaveral, Fla., and will include screenings of 'Star Wars' movies and the new 'Star Wars' animated TV show, character meet-and-greets and merchandise.

LATAM Brazil recently unveiled a special new Star Wars themed livery. The livery celebrates the new Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge attraction at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, which officially opened to park visitors on 29 August.

LATAM Brazil’s new livery can be found on PT-MUA, an 11-year-old Boeing 777-300ER. The livery features a gigantic stormtrooper emblazoned on the aircraft’s tail. In addition to a massive stormtrooper, the aircraft features a black stripe with text promoting the new Disney World attraction.

LATAM’s tricked out Boeing 777-300ER will operate long-haul flights from the airline’s hub at São Paulo-Guarulhos (GRU) to destinations including Orlando, Miami, Madrid, Frankfurt and Paris. LATAM Brazil expects the aircraft to arrive in São Paulo in October. Flights will begin shortly thereafter.
